2nd Annual Dual Language/ESL Institute

Dear BESO members,

We have an excellent professional development opportunity for you. Denton ISD is having their 2nd Annual Dual Language/ESL Institute for their ESL and Bilingual teachers. This event will take place on August 20th at WS Ryan Elementary in Denton. You will need to be there from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on that day.
The event organizer asked if BESO can help with facilitation of sessions during this conference. If you are interested to be part of this institute andavailable, please let me know about your interest here or on my email Yuliya.summers@ unt.edu.
The event organizer also asked for the volunteers to attend an orientation session to go over the details prior to the actual institute. It will at WS Ryan Elementary at 2:30 pm. On August 19th.

Mean Green Fling!!

B.E.S.O. invites you to VOLUNTEER in the 16th Annual Mean Green Fling!

Mean Green Fling is the event that kicks off the start of the school year! This back-to-school event will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at The Hill at Apogee (near Victory Hall and Apogee Stadium) from 5:30PM-7:30PM.

Our organization will set up a table and we will be providing information to students at the event. We need volunteers for this day and if you can participate in this event comment here or email me (RubenFuentes@my.unt.edu)

You can do from a shifts from
5:00pm-6:00pm Setting up table (1 hour),
6:00pm-7:00pm (1 hour)
7:00pm-8:00pm Pick up table and take the stuff (1 hour).
(You can also volunteer for the entire event if you will like to).

*****This will be our first official volunteer event of the school year and this will benefit you for future conferences (TexTESOL & TABE) because of the new point system we will implement in the FALL 14. (More info about point system will be provided first meeting of the semester)******
